Tehran short filmfest announces '09 jury panel

The 2009 Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF) has announced the members serving o n the jury of its 14th edition.
A group of five, including Shahabuddin Adel (Iran), Lassaad Jamoussi (Tunisia), Abdul Latif Ahmadi (Afghanistan), M'bala M'bala Dieudonne (France) and Valerie Linardi (Belgium) will judge the festival's international section, assessing some 92 narrative, documentary, experimental and animation short films from 40 countries.
The national section of the festival will be judged by Mahnaz Mazaheri, Mohammad-Reza Aslani, Mehrdad Oskoui, Abdollah Alimorad, Mohammad-Reza Garshasbi, Mohammad-Reza Arab and Mahmoud Gabarlou.
Some 256 films from 47 Iranian cities have entered this year's festival.
Organized by the Iranian Young Cinema Society (IYCS), a member of the International Short Film Conference (ISFC), the 2009 TISFF will be held from Nov. 11 to 16 in the Iranian capital.
The 2008 edition of the festival granted its best film award to The Gilles by Canada's Constant Mentzas.
