Former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic
Bosnian-Serb war crime suspect Radovan Karadzic has avoided trial for a second consecutive day repeating claims that he was being rushed to the dock.

The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) adjourned the case on Tuesday after Karadzic said he was yet to study a million pages of prosecution evidence and hundreds of witness statements, British newspaper The Daily Telegraph reported.

The documentation confirms the 64-year-old's 11 charges of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity for his role in the 1992-95 Bosnian war.

The charges point to alleged attempts by Karadzic and other Serb leaders in removing the Bosnian Muslims and Croats from Serb-claimed territories during the war that killed 100,000 and rendered 2.2 million homeless.

Judge O-Gon Kwon, assigned to the case, has cautioned Karadzic against trying to further "obstruct the progress of the trial."

Karadzic, who has earned notoriety as 'the butcher of the Bosnians,' was arrested in Belgrade last year after 13 years on the run.
