Brazil film fest to screen 14 Iranian movies

The thirty-third Sao Paulo Film Festival in Brazil is going to showcase 14 Iranian moviesin the competition and perspective sections of the international festival.
According to a report published by the Iranian students' news agency, “Puzzled” by Shalizeh Arefpour, "Ashkan, Sacred Signet and Some Other Stories" by Shahram Mokri, “Twenty” by Abdulreza Kahani, “The Other Side of River” by Abbas Mohammadi Motlaq, “The time Lemons Went Yellow” by Mohammdreza Vatan Doust as well as “Mystery Tracks” by Alireza Rofougaran will be screened in the competition section of the international event.
The report added that “Shirin” directed by master Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami, “Superstar” by Tahmineh Milani, “On foot” by Fereydoun Hassanpour, “About Elli” by Asghar Farhadi, “The Man Who Ate His Cherries” by Peyman Haqqi, “Tehroon” -- an informal term for the Iranian capital, Tehran -- by Nader Takmil Homayoun, “Calm down, Count to Seven” by Ramtin Lavafipour as well as “None Knows About Persian Cats” by Bahman Qobadi will also be shown in the perspective section of the Sao Polo International Film Festival 2009.
The 33rd Sao Paulo Film Festival in Brazil runs October 23 to November 5.
