Sotheby's auction house in London is slated to hold a charity sale in an attempt to support the orphaned and vulnerable children of Africa.
The September 21 auction is estimated to fetch several hundreds of thousands of dollars, which will go to the Africa Foundation and Ikamva Labantu charities.
"We expect interest from many prominent contemporary art collectors and philanthropists and we hope to raise a great deal of money for these deserving charities as a result," BBC quoted Sotheby's senior specialist in contemporary art, Oliver Barker as saying.
South Africa's Marlene Dumas, and Britain's Tracey Emin and Antony Gormley will be among the artists whose works will go under the hammer.
Sculptor Gormley's 2009 Standing Matter XX and photographer Dumas' 1994 Would Jesus have done the same? are two of the event's highlights.
