With one lab-confirmed case of swine flu, Iranian health officials now say that 200 individuals are suspected of having been infected with the AH1N1 virus.

“While we have only had one confirmed case of swine flu, 200 others are suspected of the disease,” head of the Iranian Health Ministry's Centers for Disease Control Mohammad-Mehdi Gouya told ILNA.

He went on to say that health authorities had decided to enforce restrictions on Hajj pilgrimage as the latest figures showed 150 individuals have tested positive for swine flu in Saudi Arabia.

Iranian health officials confirmed the country's first case of swine flu on June 22, after a 16-year-old boy tested positive for the AH1N1 virus.

The Iranian-American teenager was found to have respiratory infection upon entering Iran with his family.
