Douglas Hughes, a postal worker from Tampa, Florida peacefully surrendered to law enforcement after he landed his small aircraft. US officials said the plane was too small to be detected, and slipped through the various security systems.

Though Hughes is facing serious criminal charges, many Americans think Hughes' concerns are correct. Retired Postal Worker John Dennie hopes that the incident will have an impact.

Dennie says that postal workers in particular have felt the impact of excessive corporate influence.

Many people in the United States are angry about the influence of wealthy corporations on elected officials.

The action of Douglas Hughes may have been small and isolated, but his concern about the influence of money in politics is very widespread across US society, according to many public opinion polls. Hughes is returning to Florida where he will remain in house arrest, until he faces charges in federal court.
