Also there has been a rise in academic interest in the relationship between Islam and the idea of femininity with many research books being published about this topic. However, this notion of femininity is substantially different from western feminism.
Here, femininity or Islamic feminism is based on principles of equality and respect towards women drawn from the Holy Qur'an and the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet.
