French vote ends in hung parliament as leftists lead snap vote

Many in France are breathing a sigh of relief after the far-right National Rally party surprisingly fell to 3rd place in snap legislative elections.

The vote resulted in a hung parliament - with no party gaining a majority - which many predict will result in governmental instability.
