The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) wraps up its summit in the Nigerian capital Abuja as leaders fail to get three renegade coup-hit members to rejoin the organization.

The renegades, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger have formed a confederation styled as the Sahel Alliance.
