Stern warning to Israel

Iran’s president has reiterated Tehran's position that it will give a more forceful response to any fresh Israeli attack against Iran’s interests. Ebrahim Raeisi made the remarks in a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. He hailed Russia’s support for Iran’s retaliatory operation against Israel. Raeisi denounced the West’s opposition to the attack and urged the US and its allies to stop supporting the Israeli genocide in Gaza if they want to de-escalate tensions. Putin, for his part, hailed Iran’s move against Israel as the best possible response to its aggression against the Iranian embassy in Syria. He said Iran is one of the pillars of regional security and stability and slammed de-stabilizing moves by the US and its allies in the region.

Israeli crimes in Gaza

The UN has announced that around 1.7 million Palestinians have faced forced displacement in the Gaza strip, since the Israeli genocide unfolded there in early October. The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights spokeswoman said displaced Palestinians are living in terrifying conditions and under constant threat. Ravina Shamdasani noted that Israel has imposed illegal restrictions on the entry and distribution of humanitarian aid in the Gaza strip. She demanded human rights organizations prioritize the improvement of the catastrophic situation in the war-torn territory. The UN also warned about the impact of over six-months of Israeli onslaught on women in particular. It reported the Israeli genocidal war has left 10,000 women dead, including 6,000 mothers, leaving 19,000 children orphaned.

Israel war crimes

The Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas, has issued a statement in reaction to the reports about the Israeli regime torturing dozens of Palestinian detainees before releasing them on Monday. The statement came after Gaza’s Crossings Authority released testimonies of some 150 recently freed Palestinian detainees, uncovering their painful ordeal during detention. It called on international human rights bodies to take action to reveal the fate of thousands of Palestinians kidnapped during the Israeli raids across the Palestinian territories.
