A court in India's most populous state of Uttar Pradesh has banned Islamic schools ahead of the country's national elections. The move has been seen by analysts as another attempt by the government to marginalize the Muslim population. They say the decision will seriously affect about two to three million children and teachers associated with the Islamic schools.
