US homelessness

A new study in the US paints a grim picture of the scope of homelessness in California.

It says over 17,000 people do not have a roof above their head in the country’s western state.

According to the study by the University of California, the state is home to almost one-third of the total US homeless population.

It says the vast majority of homeless people in the state are Californians.
