Zidane leaves Real for second time as manager

Zinedine Zidane has stepped down as Real Madrid manager, bringing to an end his second stint in charge of Los Blancos.

The decision comes five days after his team were pipped to the La Liga title by city rivals Atletico Madrid.

Zidane led Real to two league titles, and three champions league triumphs in two spells as manager since 2016.

He now leaves the club after a first trophy-less season in more than a decade.

Club legend, Raúl González, and Italian manager, Antonio Conte, who walked away from Inter Milan on Wednesday, are the likely candidates to replace the Frenchman.
