Cristiano Ronaldo's brace could not save Juventus from crashing out of the Champions League, despite a 2-1 win over Lyon.

Having lost the first meeting 1-nil in France, Juve could not afford another set-back, but conceded after just 12 minutes when Memphis Depay scored from the spot.

Ronaldo breathed life into Juve on the brink of half-time, after converting a penalty-kick of his own.

CR Seven came to the fore once more, and unleashed a blistering strike that went off the post, into the top right corner on the hour-mark. But that was it, and the 2-1 result stood firm, meaning the Old Lady have been eliminated at the hands of Lyon, on away goals' rule.
