Serie A: Inter Milan 2-0 Napoli

Over Italian football news, Inter Milan have moved up to 2nd place in the Serie A, after defeating Napoli 2-nil at San Siro.

Inter got on the score-sheet, 11 minutes into the match, when Italy’s defender, Danilo D'Ambrosio netted the ball with a clinical finish from close range.

The Nerazzurri, then doubled the lead, after Argentina striker, Lautaro Martinez finished his individual effort with a long-range powerful strike in the 73rd minute. For securing the runners-up spot in the current season of the Italian Serie A, Antonio Conte’s team will travel to Bergamo to lock horns with Atalanta in the final match-day on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Atalanta boosted their hopes of finishing 2nd in the League, as they came from behind, to win 2-1 at Parma in the penultimate round of the season. Swedish international, Dejan Kulusevski fired Parma in front two minutes from half-time.

However, Atalanta leveled the match, after the break, when Ukrainian midfielder, Ruslan Malinovskiy scored with a powerful free-kick from outside the box in the 70th minute.

With 6 minutes remaining, Dario Gomez scored the winner for the visitors, after finishing his solo-run with a powerful shot from edge of the box in the 84th minute. With the victory, Atalanta extended their unbeaten run to 12 matches since league resumption and now stay 3rd in the standings with 78 points.
