Nile dam dispute

Ethiopia is expected to start filling the reservoir of a massive dam it is constructing on the Nile River with or without an agreement with Egypt and Sudan.

Last June, an enraged Egypt took the matter to the UN Security council saying the Ethiopia's Dam construction on the Nile will have great consequences for Egypt. In what is a sign of deep-rooted disagreements between the two countries, Ethiopia insisted the council tis not the right place to discuss the conflict.

In our program we shall focus on the dispute between Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan over the construction of a giant hydroelectric dam on the Nile River. And in the second part we shall highlight efforts to boost Africa's agriculture amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
