Serie A: Napoli 2-1 AS Roma

Napoli have earned a 2-1 home victory over AS Roma to put their hopes of reaching European football next season back on track.

Fans had to wait until the second half when José Callejón gave Napoli the lead when he got on the end of Mario Rui's crispy cross.

AS Roma drew level five minutes later as Henrikh Mkhitaryan finished off a counter-attack with a bouncing shot from just outside the area.

Napoli Captain Lorenzo Insigne curled in the winner eight minutes from time to condemn Roma to a third defeat in a row.

The result means Napoli pulled level with their opponents on 48 points. Roma are still ahead though in 5th spot, due to better goal difference.
