DNC wants Joe Biden because he represents neo-liberalism, worst of capitalism: Myles Hoenig

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) establishment wants Joe Biden – although he is most likely to lose against Donald Trump -- to be the nominee because “he represents neo-liberalism and strong defense of the worst of capitalism,” according to Myles Hoenig, an American political analyst and activist.

Hoenig, a former Green Party candidate for Congress, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Sunday after US President Donald Trump said that the Democratic presidential primaries were “rigged” against leading Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders.

Sanders was slated to win most of the states on Super Tuesday but Biden turned tables on him and ended up by clinching 10 of 14 states, after  hours before the vote former mayor Pete Buttigieg and Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota dropped out of the Democratic race and endorsed Biden.

Trump on Sunday also suggested that the Democratic National Committee (DNC) ordered Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) to end her candidacy after Super Tuesday to draw votes away from Sanders.

“Did the DNC & Dems tell Elizabeth Warren to wait? If so, they were deadly, the race would have been over, & Bernie would have won,” Trump tweeted.

“Dirty double dealing? Nobody knows for sure, & history will be the judge. But I say, here we go AGAIN, Bernie!” he added.

Hoenig said, “All Trump knows how to do is to throw mud. He doesn’t base any of his accusations on evidence and knows when to stick the knife in someone. His claim that the DNC is rigging the election against Sanders is a half-truth, as he is looking at the 2016 Democratic fiasco and how Sanders was completely marginalized by the party, as well as the media,” according to Myles Hoenig, an American political analyst and activist.”

“He also claims that the DNC told Warren to drop out in support of Biden is based on no evidence whatsoever, even though it would have been thought that her dropping out should help Sanders as most of her supporters are unlike her, and really are progressive. What is true, and it’s always hard to parse out fact from fantasy when Trump speaks, is that the DNC is once again distancing itself from Sanders and doing all it can to defeat him. They have so much to lose if he wins,” he said.

“The likelihood that they encouraged Buttigieg, Klobuchar and Bloomberg to drop out in order to consolidate the right wing around Biden is strong, and was strategically smart. They want Biden, even though he is most likely to lose against Trump, because he represents neo-liberalism and strong defense of the worst of capitalism. Wall Street will win, whoever is elected, and that’s who the DNC work for most,” he noted.

“The media as well is still strongly against Sanders as his programs need to be paid for and who better to share their wealth than such giants as Comcast and Time Warner, who own NBC and CNN respectively. Disney also owns ABC and the other major networks’ owners fall into that same bracket that would be targeted by Sanders. There is a symbiotic relationship between the DNC and the major networks. One needs the exposure and the other the revenues. The Republicans have their Fox News, so no difference in the relationship,” he said.

“We will see on Tuesday the 10th of March how Sanders does in Michigan, in particular. It is labor rich, minority and went to Trump in 2016. The DNC and the media will have a lot of board room discussions on where to go from there depending on how he does,” he noted.
