NBA: New Orleans Pelicans 132-127 La Clippers

To the NBA news, the New Orleans Pelicans have edged past the visiting Los Angeles Clippers 132-127 at the Smoothie King Center.

The Clippers were the better side of the match and won the opener with 1-point margin. But the hosts came from behind and outscored the Clippers 38-24 in the 2nd quarter that led to their 72-59 advantage at the intermission.

The Clippers however fought back and managed to take 97 to 96 lead at the end of the 3rd quarter. But the Pelicans once again piled on the pressure and grabbed the final quarter with 6-point margin to register their victory. Jrue Holiday earned 36 points for the Pelicans while Paul George bagged 33 for the Clippers.

Meanwhile, the Knicks beat the Dallas Mavericks 106-103 at the Madison Square Garden in New York on Thursday night. The hosts took a 58-53 lead at the end of the first half.

Then the mavericks managed to level the match at 87-all at the end of 3rd quarter, but the Knicks took the final quarter with 3-point lead, to earn their 2nd victory of the season.

New York will host the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday while Dallas will welcome the NBA Defending Champions Toronto Raptors.
