Iran’s missiles are absolutely not negotiable with anyone or any country under any circumstances. That’s according to the Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. Speaking at a ceremony to honor those who sacrificed their lives to improve and modernize the country’s missile defense capabilities, Major General Hossein Salami said the country's ballistic missile program is a red line.

The commander of the IRGC said Iran will never negotiate on its missile defense program. He also said despite sanctions and restrictions, the program will continue apace.

Salami said if the Americans want to talk about Iran’s missiles, they first need to stop selling US weapons, including missiles, to the region.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the IRGC commander said the assassination of resistance commanders in occupied Palestine has exposed Israel to full-scale threat, and that under international law the Palestinians have every right to defend themselves against Israeli aggression.

Under the administration of President Donald Trump, the US has taken a hostile approach toward Iran. It has unilaterally pulled out of the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, and imposed unilateral sanctions to counter an alleged threat from Iran. The Islamic Republic says it poses no threat to any country, but will defend itself if attacked.
