Lebanon's president wants formation of cabinet based on skills

Lebanese President Michel Aoun has pledged to form new government that includes ministers based on its skills. He said that the formation of cabinets in Lebanon had always been politicized and he warned against forming a sectarian state.
Hezbollah’s parliamentary bloc also supported the formation of a new cabinet and stressed on the need resolve the country’s dire economic status.
Activists believe that in light of the continuous foreign threats against the country, the people of Lebanon and the ruling class needs to take far-reaching measures.
The president’s office declared that the parliamentary consultations which are mandatory in naming a new Prime minister will begin Sunday or Monday morning by far.
On the streets, some people are still calling for more pressure on the parliament to take drastic measures while others have decided to put off further actions, waiting to see if those in power pay heed to their demands.
