Crisis in Chile threatens the government

All it took was an increase in metro fares to set Chile ablaze. Despite cancelling the rise in prices, violent demonstrations have exposed deep divisions in Chilean society.

This mostly stems from rising inequality, despite the Latin American Nation being one of the most prosperous in the world. In the capital alone, scores of supermarkets have been looted as protests turn ugly. It has raised major questions about the future of the country and its leadership.
