Euro 2020 qualifiers: France 1-1 Turkey

France’s qualification to the Euro 2020 finals have been delayed after being held to a 1-all draw by Turkey at the Stade de France.

Olivier Girou, who came off the bench to help France in the 72nd minute, needed just 4 minutes to give the Frenchmen the lead with a header, following a corner kick by Antoine Griezmann.

Turkey, who had handed France their only loss of their qualifying campaign were up for a fight and scored the equalizer 5 minutes later as Kaan Ayhan's header earned them a valuable point.

With the result, Turkey remain group H leaders, while France have to wait until November to claim their spot at next year's finals.
