Almost thirty Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces early Monday in a raid near the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

The Israeli military claims the detainees, including senior members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, were suspected of involvement in an August bombing near illegal settlement of Dolev that killed an Israeli settler.

Israel has accused a Palestinian named Samer Arbeed of being the head of the cell which carried out the bombing attack. It said the Palestinian has been hospitalized in critical condition after undergoing interrogations with Israel’s security agency the “Shin Bet”.

Israeli military also accuses the detainees of planning more attacks. The Israeli military regularly launches raids in the occupied territories and detains Palestinian, including children on what rights groups have described as baseless pretexts.

Palestinians say Israel’s collective punishment measures would only strengthen their steadfastness and their determination to continue resisting the Israeli occupation.

Analysts say Israel's aggression and daily arrests are aimed at subjugating Palestinians and forcing them to abandon their cause. But Palestinians have demonstrated that they will not give in to such measures.
