Islam portrayed too "positively"?
The administration of US President Donald Trump has taken yet another step to bolster assumptions about its anti-Muslim stance.
The Education Department has recently used its regular funds to two major universities as a weapon to make them revise one of their programs which has been viewed as pro-Islam. The agency has warned the University of North Carolina and Duke University to make amendments to a consortium on Middle East studies or risk the loss of the federal funding. The Education Department has sent a letter to the two institutions, saying the program disproportionately portrays the positive aspects of Islam.
