New statistics published by the police have confirmed that far right extremism is the fastest growing form of extremism in the UK.

In recent years far right attacks have risen, with a spike leading up to the Brexit referendum, which is now simply viewed by many as Britain's Trump moment. Muslim communities in particular have been experiencing the impact of far right extremism.

While the causes of far right extremism are numerous and often complex, politicians and the media have often made the problem worse.

With more and more far fight attacks taking place including the infamous murder of British MP Jo Cox in 2016 by white supremacist Tommy Mair, the new statistics simply highlight what many have known for some time.

Far fight extremism is the fastest growing form of terrorism and reflects a dangerous climate of neo-nationalism and racism in the UK resulting in a lived experience for black and minority communities in which individuals can be attacked in the street simply because of their religion or the color of their skin.
