La Liga: Real Madrid 3-2 Levante
Real Madrid have earned a nervy 3-2 win at home against Levante in La Liga after taking a three-goal lead by halftime.
Karim Benzema headed Real in front after 25 minutes and the France forward struck again a few minutes later with a well-taken finish. Brazil midfielder Casemiro stretched Real's advantage right before halftime but Levante hit back shortly after the interval through former Madrid forward Borja Mayoral.
The visitors reduced the deficit to just one goal with 15 minutes to go thanks to a near-post header from Gonzalo Melero. Levante twice came close to levelling in stoppage time but Real held on to scrape the victory and move on to eight points after four games.
