Palestinians in the Gaza Strip gathered in the so-called buffer zone for the 74th Friday in a row to protest against the Israeli occupation.

The peaceful demonstration came as part of the Great March of Return rallies. Demonstrators posed no threat to the Israeli forces, but their protest was met with violence. Israeli forces responded with live rounds.

Despite Israel’s shoot-to-kill policy, Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip pledged to continue their peaceful demonstrations against Israel and its crimes. They also slammed some Arab countries for normalizing ties with the Israeli regime.

The Great March of Return rallies started on March 30th, 2018 to demand the right of return for Palestinian refugees to their occupied homeland as well as the complete lifting of the blockade imposed by Israel since 2007.

Palestinians in Gaza also called for the cancellation of the so-called Oslo Peace Accord that was signed in September 1993 between the Palestine Liberation Organization, PLO, and the Israeli regime on the lawn of the White House in Washington DC.

In an exclusive interview with Press TV, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement pointed to the failure of the Oslo Accord.

Palestinians have long slammed the international community for its failure to take any serious action to help stop the excessive use of force by the Israeli regime.

Israel's use of deadly force against peaceful demonstrations continues to claim innocent lives, leaving many others injured. Rights groups have repeatedly demanded that Israel be held accountable for its crimes.
