La Liga: Barcelona 5-2 Real Betis

Over football news in Spain, Antoine Griezmann has orchestrated a magnificent night at camp Nou as the Frenchman led Barcelona to a 5-2 crushing of Real Betis.

Coming off last week's defeat at Bilbao, a Messi-less Barcelona were hell-bent to take an early lead, but against their wish, the hosts conceded in the 15th minute through Betis' new signing Nabil Fekir.

Then it was time for Griezmann to steal the spotlight, when he broke the deadlock for Barca in the 42nd minute with an impressive volley. 5 minutes into the 2nd-half and the Frenchman completed his brace, this time with an even better finish from the edge of the box.

Carles Perez then added a Messi-style goal, after beating a couple of defenders to tap the ball home from close range. If it was not game over for Betis until then, it surely was when Jordi Alba scored from a tight angle on the hour-mark. Yet the 5th goal arrived for Barcelona in the 77th minute, when Griezmann produced a perfect square pass to Arturo Vidal who smashed it in.

Betis then came up with the goal of the night. Loren unleashed a massive screamer into the top corner of the net from 30-yards out, only a consolation, as the action-packed evening ended 5-2 in favor of Barca.
