Premier League: Bournemouth 1-3 Manchester City

@AFP

A Serkhio Aguero double has propelled Manchester City into 2nd place in the Premier League after a 3-1 win at Bournemouth.

The hosts stepped into the match, having failed to beat City even once in 14 encounters and losing their last 8 in a row in the Premier League since they were promoted. That trend looked set to continue as Aguero slotted in his first in the 15th minute.

Raheem Sterling then doubled the advantage for the visitors in the 43rd minute after a powerful finish for his 11th goal in all competitions against Bournemouth.

Man City were threatening to run riot, but suddenly saw their lead halved after a spectacularly taken set-piece by Harry Wilson in first-half injury time.

The Sky Blues, however, restored their 2-goal cushion just after the hour mark thanks to opportunistic Aguero’s 2nd of the afternoon. City saw the game out with the same scoreline to take their points tally to 7, TWO behind league-leaders Liverpool.
