Israeli forces attacked and injured dozens of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip as they were taking part in the weekly Great March of Return rallies.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, 32 demonstrators, including 17 minors and two women, were injured by live fire.

The peaceful rallies began in late March 2018 to demand the lifting of the crippling blockade and stress the right to return for Palestinian refugees.

Since the beginning of the Great March of Return, Israeli forces have killed over 300 Palestinians and injured some 20,000 others.

The deadliest day of the weekly rallies was on May the 14th, 2018, the eve of the 70th anniversary of Palestinian Nakba Day.

On that day which coincided with Washington's relocation of its embassy from Tel Aviv to occupied Jerusalem al-Quds, Israeli snipers shot and killed some 70 protesters in a single day.

During this week’s rallies, protesters called on all Muslims to support Jerusalem al-Quds following Israeli forces’ deadly attacks on Palestinians at the al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

Palestinians here maintain that Israel’s brutality will not stop them from fighting for their rights.

Seventeen months on, Palestinians taking part in anti-occupation rallies say they will continue their peaceful action until all of their demands are met.
