Ibrahim Zakzaky supporters allege fresh plot

During a press conference, supporters of Sheikh Zakzaky alleged that Nigerian security forces in connivance with foreign security agents have been working to frustrate the earlier arrangement where his doctors will attend to him at Medanta Hospital in India.
They say this new development goes contrary to the provisions of the Nigerian court that granted Sheikh Zakzaky free access to his doctors.
Zakzaky supporters said foreign security agents have even threatened personnel of Medanta Hospital not to admit Sheikh Zakzaky and his wife for treatment. They alleged that there is a high level conspiracy to kill Sheikh Zakzaky, so they are suspicious of other doctors.
Sheikh Zakzaky’s worship center and home were attacked by soldiers of the Nigerian army in December 2015 killing over 340 of his supporters.
Sheikh Zakzaky has been in detention for close to 4 years and a Nigerian court granted him medical bail about on August 5, 2019 and left for India August 12.
Supporters of Sheikh Zakzaky said they are concerned because the health of the Islamic cleric continues to deteriorate every day.
They said Sheikh Zakzaky has suffered enough persecution and he should be allowed to get his health back.
