More than a thousand people gathered outside the Japanese embassy in Seoul to protest Japan's economic retaliations and urge the country to address the issue of wartime sexual slavery victims.

Protesters called Tokyo to properly apologize and compensate for the victims of Japan's wartime sexual slavery, so-called "comfort women." The rally comes a day before the 74th anniversary of Korean Independence Day.
