Spain's Sanchez loses first bid to form government

Spain’s Socialist leader Pedro Sanchez failed on Tuesday in his first attempt to get enough votes from parliament to form a government. Sanchez has now 48 hours to clinch a deal with left-leaning allies, but his main supporter, the anti-capitalist party Podemos, is demanding key ministerial posts that Sanchez is reluctant to give out.
