Over to the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Nations League Finals, defending champions Russia have rolled over Poland to reach their 2nd final in a row.

The Russians, who had defeated Poland 3-1 in the previous round, got off to a promising start with a dominant 25-19 win in the 1st set before back-to-back World Champions Poland leveled the match at 1-set each, following a hard-fought 26-24 win in the 2nd set.

Russia then seized control in the 3rd, winning it 25-22 and capped off the semi-final meeting with a 25-21 win. The reigning champions had made it to the semis as Pool A runners up after claiming a 3-set win against France, while they suffered a straight sets loss against team USA.

In the other semi-final match-up, team USA overcame Brazil 25-21, 17-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-9 in Chicago. The United States who had suffered a 3-sets loss to Brazil on first day of the preliminary round, completed their revenge to take on Russia in the final. USA progress to the final as the top ranked team in Pool A following wins against France and Russia.

They beat France 3-1 before crushing the Russians in 3-sets. Brazil who had reached the semi-finals after a loss to Poland and a win against Iran, will have to face the poles again in the fight for the 3rd place.
