France’s major national holiday didn’t proceed smoothly for President Emmanuel Macron, as dozens of protesters booed him and demanded his resignation ahead of a massive military parade in central Paris.
A commotion erupted between riot police and anti-government protesters in Paris on Sunday, as French President Emmanuel Macron arrived for Bastille Day celebrations. 'Yellow Vests' were seen among the protesters after their rally was banned in the French capital.
This year's Bastille Day marks the 230th anniversary of the storming of the Bastille during the French Revolution and commemorates the fall of the monarchy by a mass uprising.
