South Korea urges Japan suspend trade war, warns of countermeasures

South Korean President Moon Jae-in warned Japan this week Tokyo would face countermeasures over its implementation of export restrictions on hi-tech materials. The comments come as South Koreans begin boycotting Japanese goods amid lingering historical disputes over Japan’s wartime abuses.
