Pruned Parisians hold third French Beard Championships
Dozens of facial hair fanatics gathered in Paris's 11th district on Saturday to see who had the most glorious beard and whiskers of the lot in the third edition of the French Beard Championship.
Oiled and pampered, conditioned and curled, 89 lined up in front of a jury of their peers where they were fine-combed.
Among them was Guillaume Renouf, France's returning champion and 2019 world champion in full beard category.
The contestants competed in six categories which consisted of a natural beard of more than 20 centimeters (7in), natural beard of less than 20 centimeters, a Garibaldi, a Verdi, a freestyle and whiskers.
