US escalates tensions by sending drones over Iran: Political commentator
Political commentator Ken Stone joined us with his take on Iran’s downing of a US spy drone amid escalating Washington-Tehran tensions in the region.
The incident took place in the southern province of Hormozgan Thursday morning. The IRGC said the unmanned surveillance aircraft was brought down after it violated Iran’s airspace. The drone was identified as a US Navy MQ-4C Triton, which builds on elements of the RQ-4 Global Hawk with minor changes.
The US military, however, has rejected the news, saying no American aircraft was operating in the Iranian airspace.
