Bolivia scored their first goal in five games but it was not enough to give them their first Copa America point as Peru came from behind to win 3-1 in their Group A game in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Bolivia took the lead when Marcelo Martins scored a VAR-assisted penalty in the 28th minute. Peru superstar Paolo Guerrero equalized before the break by rounding the keeper and slotting the ball into an empty net. Peru had the upper hand after Jefferson Farfan headed home in the 55th minute.

Finally, Edison Flores secured the victory with a skillful chip from the edge of the box in the dying moments. Peru currently have 4 points from 2 games, while Bolivia remain pointless. Peru will meet the tournament’s hosts Brazil on the final day of the group stage matches.
