Europe seemingly pursuing US pressure tactic against Iran: Commentator

Iran calls on Europe to live up to its commitments under the 2015 nuclear deal instead of censuring Tehran over irrelevant issues.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif says the Europeans are not in a position to criticize Iran even on the issues that do not have to do with the nuclear deal.

"The responsibility of the Europeans and other signatories to the nuclear deal is to normalize the condition for Iran's economic activities," he says, noting that under the nuclear deal, what is important is the outcome, not just taking actions and saying "we tried but it didn't work". Germany, France and Britain have promised to protect Iran against US economic sanctions but they have so far failed to do so.

In an interview with Press TV, Political commentator Mostafa Khoshcheshm says Europe seems to be following the US footstep in pressuring Iran into making more concessions.
