US trade wars come at a huge cost
China has made good on its promises and hit back at the US in a trade war that is now feared to turn into a heated confrontation. On Friday, Beijing raised tariffs on roughly 60 billion of dollars worth of U-S imports in a tit-for-tat move initiated by Washington. In another battlefield, U-S President Donald Trump has threatened Mexico with trade tariffs over what he calls the Central American countrys failure to stem the flow of migrants to the US border. The decision has sounded the alarm about the possible harms that it would bring for the American consumers and businesses.
