Libya descends further into chaos

The crisis in Libya is deepening. Gunmen are resorting to every possible means to force residents of Tripoli to surrender. They have cut off water supplies to Tripoli in order to make life for the residents of the city a living nightmare.

A pipe network that carries water to the country’s western region was raided on Sunday by armed gunmen loyal to renegade Commander Khalifa Haftar’s Libya National Army. Water supplies to the capital and surrounding districts were suspended and people had to rely on private water deliveries to meet their daily needs. The UN has cited that this may constitute a war crime.
