UN says nearly half of Afghan kids not in school

The United Nations says nearly half of Afghan children are not attending school due to worsening security and poverty. The government has also voiced concern about the deteriorating situation for the Afghan children. 18 year after the US invasion, Afghanistan is still grappling with insecurity, with militant groups flexing muscle in parts of the country.
