Iraqis play down significance of Daesh ringleader’s video

A new video purported to show the Daesh ringleader has stirred up reactions in Iraq, with many playing down the significance of the video. Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi also said Daesh has been weakened militarily, but has yet to be defeated completely. Iraq declared the end of military operations against the Takfiri terrorist group in the country in 2017.
