Protesters converge on Venezuela's embassies in Mexico, Colombia

Groups made up mostly of Venezuelans living abroad gathered outside Venezuelan embassies in Mexico City and Bogota, Colombia on Tuesday (April 30) to voice their support for Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido and his efforts to oust President Nicolas Maduro.

Dozens of protesters gathered at each location to chant, sing and shout their support for Guaido.

Meanwhile, Chile's foreign minister confirmed via tweet on Tuesday that his nation was hosting Venezuelan opposition politician Leopoldo Lopez and his family in Chile's diplomatic residence in Caracas. Earlier on Tuesday Lopez broke his house arrest to appear alongside Guaido.
