Foad Izadi: US imposing its internal laws on others over Iran sanctions

The White House is working to push others to act according to its internal laws and regulations in dealing with Iran, says a commentator.

Speaking at a meeting with a large group of Iranian workers on Wednesday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said Iran would export “as much crude as it needs and wishes” in defiance of the sanctions.

The administration of US President Donald Trump has said it seeks to stop Iranian oil sales by imposing sanctions on the countries that continue purchasing Iranian crude after May 1.

In an interview with Press TV on Wednesday, Foad Izadi, a professor of the University of Tehran, said “what the US is doing is against international law,” because “there is no UN sanctions on Iranian oil.”

“What the US is doing is that they are imposing their internal laws on other countries,” who do not want to follow American sanction policy against Iran, Izadi argued.
