EU Parliament approves deal to pool defence resources

The European Parliament has approved a deal with member states on the proposed European Defense Fund in the final meeting of the Parliament’s current term. The budget has not been confirmed but the proposed figure is 13 billion euros. The bloc says they will save money by doing this, but the academics say it threatens democracy.
