NBA: Philadelphia 76er 102-111 Brooklyn Nets

In the NBA, the visiting Brooklyn Nets have overpowered the Philadelphia 76ers 111 to 102 in game 1 of their Eastern Conference First Round Playoff Series.

Brooklyn got off to a hot start, taking the 1st quarter with a late 12-nothing run and held on to their advantage as they led 62-54 by half-time. The 6ers cut the deficit to 2 points early in the 3rd period, but the Nets took control once again and made it 93 to 82 after 3 quarters of play.

D'Angelo Russell scored 26 points for the 6th-seeded Nets, who competed in their first playoff game in 4 years, while Jimmy Butler led the 3rd-seeded 6ers with a career-high 36-points.
