Iran’s Persepolis defeats Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli 2-0 in AFC Champions League

Iran’s Persepolis have returned to winning ways in group D of the AFC Champions League with a 2-0 victory over Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ahli in Dubai.

Persepolis opened the scoring in the 18th minute, thanks to a Superb Scissor Kick by Shoja Khalil-Zadeh.

The Red Army doubled the lead just 3 minutes into the 2nd half as Ali Ali-Zadeh capitalized on a loose ball to find the net from inside the box.

Persepolis played solid in defense for the rest of the game and held on to their advantage to seal the whole 3 points.
